Steve is Steve Martin, a law graduate from the University of Glamorgan in South Wales (hence the link to the Uni on the main page). I dabble in some basic web design, I always have, thanks to Rik. Having had a blog at Shiny for three years(2003-06), I decided in Mar '06 (largely through want of a place to put my CV) that it was now time for me to build my own site.

In the beginning, it had been sich a long time since I had coded anything; my abilities in basic html were poor, I had no understanding of php, css, or js; in short, my abilities had reached breaking point.

I stumbled across Dreamweaver and began to use one of the built-in templates. Having re-mastered the basics (and learned a few more) I used some very basic material from the template to write my own template. From here I expanded and learned how to code css, js, and php and now, I have a fully working site.

Whilst the css was the Dreamweaver orginal, it has now undergone many changes to suit my needs. All of my pages still contain some Dreamweaver source but all (with the exception of the download centre, blog and gallery) my own creation. So next time you look at my site and think to yourself "this looks as though it was built in Dreamweaver", now you know why.

Website aside, Steve has since graduated with a second-class law degree (after four years hard slog) and is now looking for work in the legal field (though he is verging on desperation so in reality will take anything!).

Having spent exactly four years in Cardiff and Pontypridd, Steve now lives in Northamptonshire with Pip. If you like the site and are interested in having your own, give Steve a call.
